A massive plummet in ratings reveals a significant shift in what America wants from its news outlets.
It remains unclear if MSNBC will survive the fallout, as the public is finally turning away from shameless leftist bias.
MSNBC’s ratings have taken a nosedive since Trump’s landslide victory, signaling a change demanded by viewers who seem tired of the network’s anti-Trump rhetoric.
In a single week, viewership dropped from 1.1 million to just 736,000, reflecting a loss of more than 30% of its audience.
The fallout became glaringly apparent.
“According to data obtained by Mediaite, MSNBC has lost around half its viewers in the seven days since Kamala lost the election,” Mediate reports.
The dramatic dip in numbers continued on Thursday and Friday despite MSNBC having initially beaten CNN in the election night ratings.

Fox News capitalized on the chaos, averaging a whopping 4.4 million total viewers and leading the demographic that matters most—viewers aged 25-54—by a considerable margin.
Fox’s invigorated audience stands in stark contrast to MSNBC’s dwindling numbers, showing a 60% average viewership growth in response to the network’s no-nonsense news delivery.
Meanwhile, CNN wasn’t spared from a similar fate, experiencing a 30% year-over-year decrease in its prime time viewers.
Analysts have accused MSNBC of clinging to far-left talking points in an attempt to regain traction with voters.
However, these tactics appear to be failing, driving away even viewers from their core demographic.
MSNBC’s major prime-time slumps among key adult demographics saw Chris Hayes’ and Lawrence O’Donnell’s shows suffer significantly.
Sharon Waxman summed up this disillusionment effectively: “If you’re like me, you haven’t turned on the news since last Tuesday when Donald Trump won the election. Personally, I can’t bear to listen to another minute of wisdom from Joy Reid, my friend Lawrence O’Donnell or the admirable Rachel Maddow.”
As seen before around similar political shocks, MSNBC’s popularity wanes with unfavorable news, recalling how it suffered in the wake of the Mueller report’s findings.
