Very Bad News for Biden and Democrats

(TheLastPatriotNews.com) – According to the results from a new public opinion poll, most Americans believe the United States is going in the wrong direction, and only one-third believe otherwise.

More than half – or 61% – of likely US voters see the country as going the “wrong” way, according to a new survey by Rasmussen Reports, a pro-right pollster, quoted by Breitbart News.

At the same time, 33% of those polled said America was heading in the “right” direction, while 6% were unsure how to respond.

The latest Rasmussen survey was conducted through online interviews among 1,500 respondents between February 12 and February 16, 2023. It has a 2% margin of error with a 95% confidence level.

The new poll showed the share of Americans who thought the United States was going in the “wrong” direction increased by one percentage point compared with the week before when it was 60%.

Meanwhile, the percentage of voters who thought America was headed in the “right” direction declined by two points during that same period – a week earlier, it stood at 35%.

A comparison with a Rasmussen poll from one year ago reveals that back then, 66% said the nation was on the wrong track, while 29% believed it was going in the “right” direction.

Breitbart’s report notes that the United States has continued to deal with high inflation in the last few weeks, just like it was throughout last year.

However, recent weeks also saw a spike in tensions with Communist China after, on February 4, the US Air Force had to shoot down a Chinese spy balloon that had floated over the United States from Alaska to South Carolina for several days.

The espionage airship was thought to have electronic spying tech that could monitor communication signals.

Earlier this month, a different public opinion poll conducted by the Convention of States Project and the Trafalgar Group revealed that most likely US voters thought President Joe Biden’s administration either mishandled the Chinese spy balloon situation completely or should have handled it earlier.

A combined total of 63.4% thought that “the crisis was mishandled” or the “crisis should have been dealt with sooner,” while 36.6% thought the Biden administration handled the situation “appropriately.”

In the same survey, 58.8% of the respondents said they agreed with the following statement:

“President Biden should have taken quicker action to shoot down the Chinese spy balloon before it even entered US sovereign airspace.”
