VIDEO: Biden Attacks Gun Owners – Again!

(TheLastPatriotNews.com) – President Joe Biden has announced he is pushing federal legislation to ban gun owners from having more than “eight bullets in a round.”

[You can watch the video clip of Biden further down this post, demonstrating that besides attacking gun rights once again, he doesn’t even know the difference between a “round” and a “magazine.”]

With “bullet” and “round” often used interchangeably, he seemed to suggest seeking to impose a federal limit on magazine capacity, a “gun control” measure that the Democratic Party has been advocating.

“My legislation says there can be no more than eight bullets in a round,” he told NowThis News over the weekend, as cited by Breitbart News.

“The guys doing these mass killings, they have magazines, they call them, that can hold up to 100 bullets in it. That’s just like having an automatic weapon, which we’re not allowed to have, by the way, supposedly,” Biden argued.

The Democrat president did not clarify why he thought magazine capacity has anything to do with whether a firearm is semi- or fully automatic.

Natalie Barden, whose brother was killed in Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in 2012, had asked Biden about his efforts to limit “high capacity magazines.”

In the interview, the president reiterated his allegation exposed as false by gun experts that bullets of AR-15 rifles “travel five times the speed of an ordinary bullet.”

Biden argued that AR-15 rifles are made “to kill people” and that he could “find no rational reason why ‘assault weapons’ should be sold, period.”

Last month, the president admitted that AR-15s, AK-47s, and other guns described by the Democrats as “assault weapons” were designed “to defend people.”

“What in God’s name do you need an assault weapon for? It’s an assault weapon designed to kill people, to defend America, to defend people,” Biden told a teacher’s union, as cited by The Post Millennial.

Biden and the Democratic Party have been trying to criminalize “high-capacity magazines” even though the term has no clear-cut definition.

Last year, the Democrats in the US Senate introduced a bill banning magazines over ten rounds. The Democrat-run states of California and New York have already imposed such bans on their residents.

In 1999, a report by the US Justice Department concluded that a 1994 federal ban on magazines with more than ten rounds didn’t spark a reduction in shootings or killings.

“We cannot clearly credit the ban with any of the nation’s recent drop in gun violence. Should it be renewed, the ban’s effects on gun violence are likely to be small at best and perhaps too small for reliable measurement,” the DOJ also wrote in 2004.

Nevertheless, the Democrats insist that imposing severe limitations on gun owners’ magazines would cut the number of mass shooting incidents.
