(TheLastPatriotNews.com) – No one on the right that we know of will ever mistake so-called comedian Bill Maher for an American patriot. Still, as the old saying goes, even a stopped clock is right twice a day – pun intended.
So it has come to pass that on his HBO show this past weekend Bill Maher got it right regarding former President Donald J. Trump and the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

As Maher noted in his closing monologue, when it comes to Trump, Russian President Vladimir Putin, and the invasion:
“Watching the reactions to the war in Ukraine these past few weeks, it’s become obvious that America in this age suffers acutely from a particular disease of the mind, which is: everything proves what we already believed, and everything goes back to the thing we already hate.”
After a bit more, Maher made his point in one sentence that destroys the Trump/Russia connection the Democrats keep trying to push:
“If Putin thought Trump was really that supportive of him, why didn’t he invade when Trump was in office? It’s at least worth asking that question if you’re not locked into one, intransigent thought.” [emphasis added]
