(TheLastPatriotNews.com) – During a press conference held by a number of Republican members of the United States House of Representatives, U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert, a Colorado Republican, blasted President Joe Biden for his creation and staffing of the Disinformation Board of Governance within the United States Department of Homeland Security.
The creation of the new board has come under heavy criticism from Republican and Libertarian lawmakers and political pundits, many of whom want the board to be immediately disbanded.
Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) went on record saying, “Homeland Security has decided to make policing Americans’ speech its top priority.” While Senator Mitt Romney (R-UT) called the board “an awful idea” and said that it should be disbanded.
Other critics, including Florida governor Ron DeSantis, compared the new board to George Orwell’s Ministry of Truth in Nineteen Eighty-Four.
Many others, including constitutional scholars, believe the board is unconstitutional and must be ended.
Today, as you’ll see in the video below, Congresswoman Boebert said of the board and Biden, “Because the Biden regime is afraid of Elon Musk and free speech, they want to use American tax dollars to fund this new [disinformation governance] board to continue to silence conservatives. I wouldn’t trust Biden and his incompetent misfits to take care of one of my goats.”
