During a recent segment on CNN, four voters from Pennsylvania expressed their reservations about Vice President Kamala Harris’ policy positions, with three indicating a reluctance to support her candidacy.

Despite Harris leading former President Donald Trump in key battleground states—Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin—by a narrow margin of 50% to 46% according to recent New York Times/Siena College polls, these voters shared disapproval of Trump while also harboring doubts about Harris’ policies.

Michael Pesce, a Republican voter, articulated his uncertainty regarding Harris, linking her potential presidency with the existing Biden administration, regardless of her individual actions or statements, The Daily Caller reports.

“I have doubts about her. She’s going to be tied to the Biden record, regardless of what she says or what she does … I’m still not going to vote for Trump regardless,” Pesce explained.

According to CNN’s chief national correspondent John King, Pesce perceives Harris as overly liberal for his tastes.

Joan London, an independent voter previously affiliated with the Republican Party, echoed this sentiment.

“If Donald Trump or J.D. Vance really says something so outrageously offensive, that could drive me to vote for Vice President Harris, but it’s highly unlikely,” she said.

London expressed that Harris does not align with her own values and policy beliefs. She plans to write in a conservative candidate, as noted by King.

The polls also suggested that voters trust Trump more than Harris in managing immigration and economic issues.

Cynthia Sabatini, another Pennsylvanian, is trying to remain open-minded about Harris but voiced concerns about her immigration policies and previous staff interactions.

King mentioned Sabatini’s intention to write in a candidate and her definitive stance against voting for Trump.

Carol Carty, a Republican voter, shared her personal conflict regarding the election, influenced by her disapproval of Trump and reservations about his running mate, J.D. Vance.

“When Biden was on the ticket, I was going to vote for Trump. But now it’s a harder call just because I am not a fan of Donald Trump,” Carty remarked.

Pollster Frank Luntz commented on the political landscape, noting Trump’s advantage on key issues like inflation and immigration. He suggested that Trump could enhance his chances by moderating his tone.

“I still think he has a reasonable chance of winning, because in the end, the issue agenda favors him. But not if you’re so angry that you’ve stopped reflecting the people you’re trying to reach,” Luntz observed.
