(TheLastPatriotNews.com) – Today, Arizona Governor Asa Hutchinson, a lifelong Republican with deep roots in the party, shanked Trump with a political knife to the back. In an interview on CBS News, Hutchinson said he won’t support Trump in 2024 because Trump acted “irresponsibly” as president and was “a risk to the nation.”
Hutchinson’s slam against Trump comes just days after the ultra-conservative Washington Examiner editorial board turned its back on former President Donald Trump in an editorial calling Trump a “disgrace” who is “unfit to be anywhere near power ever again.”
Meanwhile, reports indicate that many of the big money players in the Republican Party who supported Trump in 2016 and 2020 are lining up behind Florida Governor Ron DeSantis to convince DeSantis to challenge Trump in the GOP 2024 Presidential Primary.
You can watch a video clip of Hutchinson’s remarks further down this post.
According to Governor Hutchinson, when asked about Trump’s behavior after the November 2020 presidential election:
“I would not be supporting [Trump] in 2024. He acted irresponsibly during that time; he was a risk to the nation — absolutely. So that’s my statement on it.”
At the time of publication, there had been no response to the Governor’s remarks from former President Trump.
