VIDEO: JD Slams CNN

J.D. Vance

(TheLastPatriotNews.com) – In an expressive articulation of what conservatives have long suspected to be true, Republican vice-presidential candidate JD Vance has blasted CNN anchor Dana Bash for engaging in “basic propaganda.”

Republican Ohio Senator Vance, who is also former President Donald Trump’s vice-presidential running mate for the 2024 election, challenged Bash during an interview on Sunday.

He directly questioned her, asking, “Do you realize you’re engaging in basic propaganda?”

This exchange occurred following the first presidential debate between Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris last Tuesday, after which the media’s attention turned to Haitian immigrants in Springfield, Ohio.

Trump had raised concerns about local residents’ pets allegedly being eaten by immigrants, sparking intense media scrutiny.

On CNN’s “State of the Union,” Vance expressed frustration with the media, accusing them of focusing on distractions rather than the real issues affecting the people of Springfield.

He criticized Bash for suggesting that his outspokenness on the immigration issue might have incited a recent bomb threat in the town.

“You’ve heard a lot of the media focusing on every possible distraction from the story in Springfield. You’ve heard them focus on these Proud Boys marches — just in this interview, Dana, the suggestion that because some psychopath is calling in a bomb threat, somehow we have to then ignore 40,000 Springfieldians who are having their lives worsened by Kamala Harris’ policies?” the GOP vice-presidential candidate said.

Vance challenged the implications of Bash’s statements live on-air.

“I’d actually love to have this conversation right now live on-air. What is the implication when you say you calling out these problems has caused a bomb threat,” he continued, cited by WND and The Daily Caller.

“You accused me of causing a bomb threat — doesn’t that mean you should shut up about the residents of Springfield? Don’t you realize you’re engaged in basic propaganda to silence the concerns of American citizens?” Vance added.

In response, Bash claimed she was merely quoting Springfield Mayor Rob Rue, who had allegedly pleaded with federal officials to stop focusing negatively on his city.

However, Vance refuted her claim, emphasizing that the mayor had not accused him of inciting a bomb threat.

He argued for more balanced media coverage, stating, “The Springfield mayor, he’s dealing with a lot of terrible things.”

“And if we’re going to take the firsthand accounts of people who are on the ground in Springfield. Why don’t you bring on some of the people on your program who say that the migrants are eating their pets?” Vance asked.
