(TheLastPatriotNews.com) -Texas Republican Governor Greg Abbott has emphasized in a TV interview that the illegal immigration crisis is “an American problem,” underscoring his efforts to make New Yorkers and other Americans across the nation realize that fact.

Abbott was reacting to being called a “hypocrite” by the office of New York City’s Democrat Mayor Eric Adams for trying to secure the Southern Border.
Recent reports say that nearly 5 million illegal immigrants crossed the US during the 19 months of Joe Biden’s presidency.
The GOP Governor of Texas told Fox News that he had invited Adams to visit the border and see the crisis in person. The invitation is extended to the Democrat Mayor of Washington, DC, “as well as anybody.”
Abbot has been attacked by Eric Adams and subjected to much criticism by mainstream media after he recently started bussing illegal immigrants from Texas to Democrat-run cities such as New York and Washington.
“Most of America has not really understood the magnitude of the problem that we have on the border until we started sending these buses to New York. Remember, this is not a Texas problem. This is an American problem caused by the President of the United States of America,” the governor of Texas declared.
“So many people have been blind to this until suddenly buses of migrants started showing up in their city, which is a sanctuary city by the way,” he added.
Abbott argued that the mainstream media are now forced to cover the illegal immigration crisis on the Southern border because “it’s showing up on their doorstep.”
He noted that the Democrat Mayor of New York City had declined his invitation to visit the US-Mexican border.
“Americans and places like New York would benefit from [Mayor Eric Adam’s and other officials’ visits to the border] because if all Americans saw what we see every single day, that will put pressure on the President like we’ve been doing to change the President’s policies,” the Republican Governor of Texas argued further.
He insisted that he is going about doing his job to protect Texans since the federal government has been ignoring border security and that his efforts to combat the illegal immigration crisis are dictated by the Constitution and the laws of the United States.
“Two years ago, we had the lowest border crossings in decades. And then, when President Biden took over, he eliminated all the policies that created a secure border. And now we have the highest number of illegal border crossings ever,” Abbott concluded.
The border crisis is not a Texas problem, it's an American problem.
