VIDEO: Trump ‘Respects’ This Democrat Foe?!

Donald Trump

( – Former President Donald Trump declared that he had respect for Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the main challenger of President Joe Biden for the 2024 Democratic presidential nomination.

Trump’s comments on RFK Jr. came in a Newsmax interview, in which he was asked to comment on a video showing 69-year-old Kennedy do pushups.

A video clip of that interview is farther down this post.

Host Eric Bolling noted that RFK Jr. seemed “jacked” and “in great shape” compared to a senile-looking 80-year-old Biden.

He asked Trump whether he thought he would face Joe Biden in the 2024 presidential election.

“I don’t know if Joe Biden will make it to the general election. I really can’t tell you that… Obviously, he’s got some problems. Some very big problems, physically, mentally,” the former president responded.

“I will say, RFK Jr., whom I’ve known not very well but I’ve known for a while – and I respect him. A lot of people respect him. He’s got some very important points to be made. He’s a respected person,” Trump commented regarding Joe Biden’s nomination challenger.

The host then asked him whether Biden should hold presidential primary debates with RFK since his campaign seemed afraid the president would look weak.

“I don’t think they will allow him to debate anybody. You can put up a child – I don’t think they will allow him to debate. They’re not gonna allow that to happen,” Trump replied.

He recalled his 2020 presidential election debates with Biden, insisting the latter was shielded from tough questions.

“I love debating them. But, you know, our debates were very quick. And they protected him. He was so protected. He was protected by Chris Wallace,” the former president stated.

“Chris Wallace wouldn’t allow the question when I said, how come the mayor of Moscow’s wife gave him $3.5 million, Chris Wallace said, ‘That’s not a fair thing for you to ask.’ Turned out to be a very big point because now everybody’s saying, ‘How come the mayor of Moscow’s wife gave him $3.5 million?’ He was so protected by the debate refs. They were refs for him,” Trump elaborated.

He was referring to Russian oligarch Yelena Baturina, wife of late Moscow Mayor Yury Luzhkov, a Putin ally, who documents have shown indeed paid almost $4 million to one of Hunter Biden’s firms.
