VIDEO: Trump’s Sunday Bombshell Statement

DONALD TRUMP

(TheLastPatriotNews.com) – In a bombshell statement, Donald Trump has indicated that he might not seek the presidency in 2028 if he loses the upcoming election to Vice President Kamala Harris.

In an interview on “Full Measure” with Sharyl Attkisson that aired on Sunday, the 78-year-old former president expressed his reluctance to run for office again if he is not victorious this November.

Attkisson posed the question, “If you’re not successful this time, do you see yourself running again in four years?”

Trump responded,”  ‘No, I don’t. I think… that will be it. I don’t see that at all. Hopefully, we’re gonna be successful.”

If he were to win the 2024 election, Trump, who would be 82 by the 2028 election, would not be eligible to run again due to the presidential term limits which allow only two terms, totaling eight years.

The presidential race between Harris and Trump is intensely competitive, with outcomes potentially hinging on just a few critical states.

Election Day is set for November 5, but the decisive factor may be the handful of swing states.

The victory path becomes significantly narrower depending on which candidate secures these key battlegrounds.

If Trump is to become the first president since Grover Cleveland to win non-consecutive terms, significant campaign adjustments are necessary, according to Douglas E. Schoen, a noted political analyst who has advised both Bill Clinton and Mike Bloomberg.

Schoen shared his insights in a Daily Breeze opinion article and reiterated them on Fox News, cited by The Daily Mail.

Despite Harris’s slight lead, Schoen would still “bet on Trump,” but noted that Trump must concentrate on pressing issues and more effectively associate Harris with the current underperforming administration, which only 39 percent of Americans support according to recent Gallup polls.

Schoen further noted that targeting the administration’s weaknesses—such as inflation, the rising cost of living, and high numbers of illegal migrant crossings—should be central to Trump’s strategy.

He highlighted that a substantial portion of the electorate disapproves of Biden’s handling of immigration and economic issues, suggesting that forcing Harris to defend her record should be Trump’s primary focus.

In another alarming development, Trump recently survived his second assassination attempt within two months when he was targeted while golfing.

The assailant, Ryan Wesley Routh, faces several felony charges after attempting to shoot the former president with an AK-47 through a fence at the Trump International Golf Club.

This incident follows a prior attempt on Trump’s life by Thomas Matthew Crooks, who used an AR-style rifle in a shooting at a rally.
