(TheLastPatriotNews.com) – Pro-abortion women, who demonstrated in New York City over the weekend against the latest United States Supreme Court decision that killed Roe v. Wade and stripped abortion of its alleged “constitutional right” status, have declared a “sex strike” as part of their protest and have called upon others from across the nation to join them.
On Friday, the United States Supreme Court ruled 6-3 along ideological lines to overturn the 1973 landmark case that legalized abortion on the federal level and made abortion once again a state-level issue.
The ruling has infuriated the abortionists and the broader left, in particular the progressivist, i.e., Marxist Democrats, leading to outbursts of violence during protests in different cities across the United States.
The practical and political consequences of the “sex strike” declared by pro-abortion protesters in Manhattan’s Union Square remain unclear. Still, it features prominently as one of the ways in which they have sought to express their outrage.
Some of the female protesters argued, as cited by The New York Post, that “withholding sex” is a significant way to protest because men consider it important, and their “strike” is going to show them that women’s rights are “more important” than sex.
One protester, 24-year-old Brinna Campbell, an EMT, argued that men who “won’t get a vasectomy,” which is “reversible,” and don’t protest for “women’s rights” in the streets “do not deserve to have sex with me.”
“I think it’s absolutely valid for us to be withholding the Holy Grail that men seem to think is important,” another protester, Caroline Healey, 22, an event coordinator, is quoted as saying. “If we can’t safely go out and have sex and know that we will have a choice after that, then why should we be expected to?” she argued further.
Another of the protesters, Maya Demri, is a rape survivor, and insisted women should be fighting to get their “rights back.” “If this world thinks that they can oppress women forever, then we close our legs,” she declared.
Calls for a “sex strike” or an “abstinence”-based protest campaign have abounded on Twitter among left-minded female users.
“Women have the power here. No more sex until abortion rights are federal law,” wrote one abortionist.
“Perhaps a #sexstrike (also known as #abstinence) would help the men folk to be all in on this #womensrights issue,” tweeted another from the pro-abortion crowd.
