In a new proof that foreign criminals have infiltrated America to carry out sophisticated jewelry heists, seven illegal immigrants were captured in California after executing a $2 million jewelry store robbery in Glendale and attempting another in La Verne.

These international thieves brought their criminal expertise across the border, using advanced tools like signal jammers to evade security systems.
The Glendale Police Department arrested the group of men linked to a May 27 burglary at a Glendale jewelry store.
The thieves broke in through the roof around 1 a.m. and stole approximately $2 million worth of goods, leaving destruction in their wake.
The jewelry store owner, Manial Bidrussian, was shocked by the devastation left behind by the criminals.
The once-pristine store was unrecognizable after the break-in.
“They cleaned everything, and they made it into a warzone. As I’ve been telling everybody else, it’s like a battle, a war happened in here,” Bidrussian said, cited by CBS News.
Following the initial heist, Glendale police launched an investigation that led to the identification of the suspects.
Through diligent police work, investigators discovered the group was planning another burglary on June 29, 2025, targeting Rodeo Jewelers in La Verne.
Law enforcement coordinated to arrest the suspects as they attempted to gain entry through the roof of the La Verne jewelry store.
The criminals came prepared with sophisticated equipment, including signal jammers and wire cutters, demonstrating their professional approach to these crimes.
“As the suspects attempted to gain entry through the roof, law enforcement officers coordinated to take the group into custody. The suspects also used signal jammers and cut wires to the location during the incident,” said the Glendale Police Department.
Eight suspects were present during the attempted La Verne heist, but only seven were apprehended with help from local agencies, including the La Verne Police Department.
One suspect remains at large.
The arrested individuals include Jose Millafil, Javier Sepulveda, Cristian Gonzalezaburto, Luka Pazitiani, Vera Matias, Victor Iturriagalopez, and Edson Gonzalez.
What’s most concerning is the revelation that these criminals are not just random thieves but part of an organized international crime ring that has crossed into America specifically to commit crimes.
“All suspects are foreign nationals believed to be involved in similar crimes spanning both their countries of origin and the United States,” informed the Glendale Police Department.
The recent arrest comes as jewelry store owners throughout the region have been on high alert.
A nearby jewelry store in El Monte was recently ransacked, with losses estimated at $1.5 million.

Police believe a professional theft ring is targeting Los Angeles County jewelry stores, though it’s unclear if the El Monte incident is linked to the same group.
The Glendale Police Department is encouraging anyone with information about these crimes to contact their Burglary Unit.
With one suspect still at large and the possibility of more foreign criminal networks operating in the country, authorities remain vigilant in their efforts to protect American businesses from these sophisticated international thieves.
