(TheLastPatriotNews.com) – Former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy slammed Biden and House Democrats for what he called an “appeasement” stance toward Hamas and their failure to address antisemitism within their party.
Speaking at a press conference in the Capitol, McCarthy emphasized the need to prioritize the fight against terrorism, rather than Biden’s absurd plan of focusing solely on climate change and the Green New Deal.
McCarthy, a Republican from California, argued that the Biden administration’s approach was allowing a dangerous alliance between Iran, Russia, and China to strengthen. He urged President Biden to shift his focus toward protecting Americans and outlined a five-point plan:
- Rescue American hostages abducted by Hamas.
- Provide full support to Israel.
- Confront Iran.
- Secure the southern border.
- Confront antisemitism in the United States.
He criticized the appeasement of Iran by letting it produce oil and emphasized that paying ransoms for American hostages only weakened the United States on the world stage.
McCarthy’s remarks came in response to Hamas’ surprise attacks on Israel, resulting in over 1,200 Israeli casualties and the abduction of numerous Israelis, including at least nine Americans. U.S. officials had yet to confirm reports of Americans being held hostage by Hamas.
Additionally, McCarthy expressed concern about antisemitism within the Democratic Party and the lack of condemnation for such statements by House Democratic leaders. He cited past instances where he took action against members making antisemitic remarks, such as Rep. Rashida Tlaib’s pro-Palestinian event and Rep. Ilhan Omar’s removal from the Foreign Affairs Committee.
McCarthy stressed the importance of combating antisemitism in the United States and called on all leaders to condemn and address such behavior.
