Arrest Made in Gruesome Quadruple Homicide

After this criminal committed a gruesome quadruple homicide, a federal law enforcement agency arrested an illegal alien accused of murdering two innocent toddlers and their family in New York.

The 31-year-old criminal, Luis Francisco Soriano, from the Dominican Republic, was finally apprehended after fleeing the country following the horrific quadruple homicide that claimed the lives of two children aged just 2 and 4.

Soriano, also known as Jefry Yevo, was arrested in the Dominican Republic after an extensive manhunt for his role in the brutal killings that occurred near Rochester, New York, last August.

The suspect was captured while working at a hotel in Punta Cana. Authorities arrested him “without incident after he completed his shift at the hotel’s call center.”

The heinous crime involved the murders of Fraime Ubaldo, Marangely Moreno Santiago, and her two young children, Evangeline and Sebastián Ubaldo Moreno.

Their bodies were discovered in a basement that had been set on fire in Irondequoit, a suburb of Rochester.

The shocking nature of the crime, which targeted innocent children, sparked outrage across multiple communities.

After committing the murders, Soriano initially fled to Puerto Rico, demonstrating a calculated effort to escape justice.

When he found out that federal marshals were closing in, he escaped by boat to the Dominican Republic, where he attempted to blend in by taking employment at a hotel.

Soriano faces four counts of second-degree murder and additional narcotics charges related to the August 31 incident.

His brother, Julio Pimentel Soriano, was arrested shortly after the killings and has pleaded not guilty to related charges.

The drug connection to this case raises further questions about the intersection of illegal narcotics and violent crime that continues to plague American communities.

Moreover, the successful capture was the result of coordinated efforts between the U.S. Marshals Service in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Marshals Service New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force.

The criminal had been added to the U.S. Marshals Service District of Puerto Rico’s Top 10 Most Wanted fugitives list in September 2024, highlighting the priority placed on bringing him to justice.

“Without a doubt, this is an exceptional job by the Deputy U.S. Marshals of the U.S. Marshals Service, both nationally and internationally,” said Wilmer Ocasio-Ibarra, U.S. Marshal for the District of Puerto Rico.

He continued:

“It is truly worthy of recognition, and our communities should feel reassured knowing that this fugitive has been captured and will face justice. Every case is important to us, but this one not only deeply impacted our communities in New York and Puerto Rico, it shook our entire nation. The horrific nature of this crime, which resulted in the tragic death of a family, including two innocent children, rocked the very foundation of our society governed by law and order.”

Soriano is currently in the custody of Dominican authorities awaiting extradition proceedings to face justice in the United States.

Although the capture represents a victory for law enforcement, it serves as a reminder of the critical importance of border security and immigration enforcement in protecting American communities from violent criminals who can easily slip across borders.
