BREAKING: ‘Obliterating War’ Threat Issued

(TheLastPatriotNews.com) – In a new move pushing up tensions in the Middle East and globally, terrorism sponsor Iran has issued a stark warning to US ally Israel, indicating the possibility of an “obliterating war” should the Jewish state initiate a full-scale offensive against Iranian proxy Hezbollah in Lebanon.

This pronouncement reported by The New York Times has further escalated tensions in a region already strained by recent conflicts, The Daily Caller reports.

The adversarial relationship between Israel and Hezbollah, which is supported by Iran and classified as a terrorist organization, has been intensifying.

This escalation follows the attacks orchestrated by Hamas, another Iranian proxy, on October 7 that resulted in approximately 1,400 fatalities.

In the wake of these events, several skirmishes have erupted in recent weeks. These increasing hostilities have led Israeli officials to assert that the nation is at a critical juncture.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu articulated the potential for “very intense action” as a consequence of these developments.

According to a statement from Iran’s mission to the United Nations, Iran is prepared to “embark on a full-scale military aggression” in defense of Lebanon, should Israel launch an attack there.

Hezbollah has a significant presence in Lebanon, and any aggressive action by Israel in this region could trigger a severe response from Iran.

A message posted on the social media platform X highlighted Iran’s perspective.

“Albeit Iran deems a psychological warfare the Zionist regime’s propaganda about intending to attack Lebanon, should it embark on full-scale military aggression, an obliterating war will ensure,” the post detailed.

“All options, incl. the full involvement of Resistance Fronts, are on the table,” it added.

The historical backdrop features numerous confrontations along Israel’s northern border with Hezbollah, with these incidents becoming more frequent since October 7th.

The region remains a flashpoint, with various actions and counteractions illustrating the ongoing strife.

In a significant development this April, U.S. forces neutralized several Iranian drones en route to Israel.

This was in retaliation for Israeli airstrikes that resulted in the deaths of senior Iranian military leaders.

In response to a Hezbollah assault in early May, Israeli leader Benjamin Netanyahu stated, “Yesterday the ground burned here and I am pleased that you have extinguished it, but ground also burned in Lebanon.”

“Whoever thinks he can hurt us and we will respond by sitting on our hands is making a big mistake. We are prepared for very intense action in the north,” he said further.
