China Hid COVID Data – Proof

(TheLastPatriotNews.com) – A striking new revelation from the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic at the end of 2019 has disclosed that Communist China did hide vital data about the new coronavirus from the world, apparently attempting a very high-profile cover-up of the outbreak in its city of Wuhan.

According to the latest findings, on December 28, 2019, a Chinese researcher submitted a partial COVID-19 virus sequence to a US database maintained by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) called GenBank.

This submission occurred two weeks before Beijing’s official release of the virus’s genome sequence, as unveiled in documents acquired by the House Energy and Commerce Committee from the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

The researcher, Lili Ren, is affiliated with the Institute of Pathogen Biology of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences in Beijing, The Wall Street Journal reports, as cited by The Hill.

The time gap between the submission to the US NIH database and its public release by China suggests that Beijing may have withheld crucial information during the initial stages of the pandemic, The Hill points out.

The Republican-led House Energy and Commerce Committee also noted that Ren is linked to the EcoHealth Alliance. This nonprofit had previously funded the Wuhan Institute of Virology and was subject to investigation during the pandemic.

The HHS described Ren’s submission as “incomplete” and lacking essential details for publication.

“Following established quality control processes during which NCBI staff review technical, but not scientific or public health, details, a resubmission request was issued to Lili Ren on December 31, 2019, with notification that if the additional information requested was not provided by January 14, 2020, then the original submission would be removed from the processing queue,” the HHS statement informs.

Ren did not submit the requested additional information.

About two weeks later, on January 10, 2020, the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention released a sequence almost identical to Ren’s initial submission.

They claimed to have released the sequence as soon as it was available.

Republican US Reps. Cathy McMorris Rodgers, Brett Guthrie, and Morgan Griffith issued a joint statement emphasizing the implications of this finding.

“This significant discovery further underscores why we cannot trust any of the so-called ‘facts’ or data provided by the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) and calls into serious question the legitimacy of any scientific theories based on such information,” they declared.

They also stressed the importance of understanding the origins of SARS-CoV-2, the need for oversight into funding of foreign scientists, and the operation of public health agencies in the US.
