‘Biden’s Worst Political Decision’

(TheLastPatriotNews.com) – Prominent conservative columnist Jonah Goldberg has described Vice President Kamala Harris as President Biden’s “worst political decision” of his presidency.

During a panel discussion on CNN’s “The Chris Wallace Show,” host Chris Wallace shared insights from focus group results during the discussion.

He conveyed that the Republican Voters Against Trump, a group opposed to Trump, discovered that swing voters have unfavorable views of Harris.

Additionally, another focus group conducted by the Democratic National Committee (DNC) indicated that the Vice President “rubs some people the wrong way.”

Goldberg, who serves as the editor-in-chief of “The Dispatch,” a digital news platform, suggested that Harris’s issues with likeability might impede Biden’s chances for reelection.

“I think she’s a pretty big drag. I think she was arguably Biden’s worst political decision of his presidency to pick her in the first place,” Goldberg stated on CNN, as reported by Mediaite.

“And, one of the special reasons that she’s a drag is, Biden’s age concerns people,” he explained, cited by The Hill.

“They worry that he can’t fill a term. They worry that he’s not up to the job. And, so, the vice president matters more than they normally do,” he added.

Goldberg also discussed the strategic considerations for the Democratic Party. He advised against nominating candidates from deeply Democratic states unless they possess exceptional abilities, similar to former President Obama.

“I generally think going into the future that Democrats really should not nominate or front people who come from decidedly all-blue states unless they’re, like, once-in-a-generation talents, like Barack Obama,” Goldberg argued.

“Because Kamala Harris does not know how to talk to the center or to the right. She only really knows how to speak the language of the base of the party. And that’s 34% of the electorate,” he elaborated.

In a subsequent part of the discussion, Wallace referred to a recent poll by Monmouth University which indicated that 55 percent of respondents disapproved of Harris’s job performance, a slight improvement over the 58 percent disapproval rate recorded in the February poll.

Tech journalist Kara Swisher, who joined the panel alongside journalist Lulu Garcia-Navarro and Eliana Johnson, editor-in-chief of the Washington Free Beacon, commented on the implications of Harris’s approval ratings.

“It doesn’t really matter, she’s not going to be replaced,” Swisher remarked. “And they don’t like her. There’s lots of reasons they don’t like her, and I don’t think the vice president matters as much as people think. I don’t think they think about her,” she said.
