(TheLastPatriotNews.com) – Voicing strong concerns shared by millions of American Patriots, U.S. House Speaker Johnson labeled the U.S.-Mexico border as being “completely overrun” and squarely blamed Joe Biden for the deteriorating situation.
In a direct assessment of the border crisis during his visit to Eagle Pass, Texas, Mike Johnson, accompanied by numerous Representatives, observed the escalating issue firsthand.
The visit comes amid revealing data from the United States Customs and Border Protection, which shows almost 380,000 illegal immigrant encounters at the border in fiscal year 2024, continuing an upward trend from previous years.
In a conversation with Fox Business host Larry Kudlow, Johnson responded to a clip of White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre criticizing Republicans over immigration.
He argued that the current administration is seeking more funding to process illegal immigrants into the country. Johnson emphasized the national impact of this crisis, stating, “Every state is a border state,” due to the administration’s policies.
Highlighting legislative efforts to address the crisis, Johnson pointed to H.R. 2, the Secure the Border Act, passed seven months ago.
This act aims to reinstate the Trump-era “remain in Mexico” policy, end “catch-and-release,” complete the border wall construction, and enforce existing laws — steps he believes are crucial but ignored by President Biden.
On the same day, the Justice Department moved to challenge Texas’ SB4 law, signed by Republican Governor Greg Abbott, which classifies illegal entry into Texas as a state misdemeanor.
Johnson expressed frustration over the Biden administration’s approach, including the reported reduction in vetting processes for immigrants from the People’s Republic of China.
He stressed the unbearable pressure on South Texas and the broader implications for the entire country, concluding with the stark assessment that they are “completely overrun.”
