(TheLastPatriotNews.com) – In a notable warning, a former top-ranking Trump administration official has declared that the prosecution of former President Donald Trump concerning classified documents strongly “reeks” and resembles the notorious “Russia collusion” investigation.

John Ratcliffe, the former Director of National Intelligence, drew parallels to the so-called “Operation Crossfire Hurricane” while conversing with Fox News anchor Maria Bartiromo.
Ratcliffe referenced an admission by US Justice Department Special Counsel Jack Smith’s team last week, acknowledging that documents retrieved by the FBI may have been disordered, contrary to previous assertions.
Ratcliffe proposed that this suggests potential evidence tampering.
“What Jack Smith admitted in court this week was that, in his words, they mishandled the classified documents and misrepresented those to the court,” Ratcliffe asserted on “Sunday Morning Futures.”
He argued that this issue came to light when Trump’s attorneys and co-defendants noticed discrepancies between the scanned copies and the records of their extraction from Mar-a-Lago in 2022.
Smith has “absolutely blown the chain of custody,” Ratcliffe underscored.
Further, Ratcliffe stated the classified documents case “reeks of Crossfire Hurricane, when the Obama-Biden administration fabricated evidence before the FISA court, lied to the court about it to pursue Donald Trump.”
This referred to the FBI’s employment of an unverified dossier that supposedly implicated Trump in collusion with Russia, used to secure authorization to wiretap Carter Page, a former aide in Trump’s 2016 campaign.
“And now we’re seeing it again in this classified documents case. The judge could dismiss this case at any point in time,” Ratcliffe mentioned.
He speculated that the judge has yet to dismiss the case to allow the public to observe the prosecutorial process and to see how Trump is being unjustly targeted by Joe Biden’s Department of Justice.
Trump, who has denied all allegations in this and three other criminal cases while campaigning for re-election, also responded to Smith’s court filing in Florida by alleging evidence tampering.
“These deeply Illegal actions by the Politicized’ Persecutors’ mandate that this whole Witch Hunt be DROPPED IMMEDIATELY. END THE ‘BOXES HOAXES.’ MAGA2024!” he declared on his Truth Social platform.
