In a move certain to enrage liberals and delight constitutional conservatives, nearly four dozen Venezuelan workers at Disney have been indefinitely put on leave after losing their Temporary Protected Status (TPS).

The U.S. Supreme Court sided with the Trump administration, allowing them to strip these protective measures.
Disney announced this controversial decision aimed to comply with the current immigration laws.
This action, involving about 48 employees, was confirmed soon after the U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling.
Disney emphasizes its commitment to comply with immigration laws, underscoring the need to place these workers on leave.
The affected employees will continue receiving certain benefits—a small consolation for those now facing an uncertain future.
The Supreme Court’s decision halted a previous federal judge’s order that maintained TPS for Venezuelans.
This exposes not only these Disney employees but up to 350,000 other Venezuelans to possible deportation.
TPS was originally designed to aid individuals from dangerous countries, allowing a legal way to live and work in the United States.
About two-thirds of the affected Disney workers held union jobs.
Their contracts ensure the possibility of reinstatement without losing seniority or benefits, provided they can secure work authorization within the next year.
Disney faced pressure from its staff and several unions, who argued against creating a climate of fear for hardworking employees.
“These workers — our colleagues, friends, and neighbors — have contributed immensely to the success of the Walt Disney Company and to the vibrant culture of central Florida. No worker should have to live in fear of losing everything after building a life here,” said a coalition of unions at Disney World, cited by WESH.
Julee Jerkovich from the United Food And Commercial Workers International Union stated Disney had no choice but to comply.
Disney’s decision was further sparked by pressure to avoid potential ICE raids, reflecting the challenging landscape companies face amid evolving immigration policies.
Disney reiterated their commitment to protecting their employees affected by policy changes.
As the debate continues, it becomes increasingly clear the nation needs a system that works both for Americans and for those genuinely seeking freedom and opportunity without falling prey to illegal immigration chaos.
As the immigration debate rages on, Americans must continue to fight for policies that uphold the integrity of U.S. borders while aiding those in true need, without succumbing to leftist agendas that exploit legal loopholes.
