Musk Defends Trump

(TheLastPatriotNews.com) – In a surprisingly direct declaration, Elon Musk has openly spoken out in defense of Donald Trump as the billionaire X owner called Trump’s “hush money” trial, the first criminal case against a former US president in history, a “corruption of the law” and a “lawfare.”

Musk responded following a concise introduction to the matter by Vivek Ramaswamy, a former Republican candidate and business figure.

Ramaswamy labeled the legal action and its proceedings as a farce and detrimental to the nation’s fabric, The Insider Paper reports.

Ramaswamy expressed on the social platform X that the prosecution against Trump by Alvin Bragg hinged on the illogical legal premise that a candidate was supposed to allocate campaign resources for personal expenditures.

Ydet, he suggested that had Trump adhered to such advice, he would likely find himself under scrutiny for that decision as well.

“This isn’t the pursuit of justice, it’s a political persecution that is tearing our country apart,” Ramaswamy commented further.

Musk reacted by agreeing with the former Republican nomination candidate’s post.

“This case is obviously a corruption of the law. Lawfare,” the X owner wrote.

The report notes that the legal action implicates Trump in felony allegations for purportedly manipulating business records related to alleged secret payments to adult film actress Stormy Daniels.

Donald Trump is currently embroiled in a legal battle in New York, addressing charges tied to hush money transactions.

The presiding judge has decided against allowing the “Access Hollywood” tape as evidence for the jurors, although a model who alleges an affair with Trump will be permitted to give testimony.

In light of Trump breaching a gag order, prosecutors have proposed imposing a fine on him, as reported by CNN.

Last year, Trump faced indictment under 34 felony charges for allegedly doctoring business documents to conceal a hush money arrangement prior to the 2016 presidential election. He has entered a plea of not guilty.

This trial is notable as it represents the first instance of a former United States president being criminally charged.

In addition to this, Trump is contending with three other criminal cases amidst his status as the likely Republican nominee for the upcoming 2024 election.

This particular trial may be the sole case to reach a jury before the election takes place, and a conviction could potentially result in imprisonment for Trump.
