‘Stunning’ Trump Poll

(TheLastPatriotNews.com) – In a surprising turn of events that caught many political pundits off-guard last Monday — including Brian Kilmeade during a segment on Fox News — the unexpected results of a new Wall Street Journal (WSJ) poll have scrambled the 2024 presidential race.

This poll has reshaped the narrative of the upcoming election, revealing that Republican presidential hopefuls, notably former President Donald Trump and former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley, are currently leading the race against Joe Biden.

Kilmeade couldn’t hide his amazement: “This is stunning. This is a gigantic win, Trump wins by 4%, which is impressive considering the amount of court cases…but how unbelievable is it? I don’t remember a time in which somebody trailing in the primary by 40 points in most elections, about 20 in Iowa, a little bit less in New Hampshire, even trailing in her home state of South Carolina, but head to head against the current president, is up by 17 points!”

The poll findings suggest that Biden may need significant support from influential Democrats, as Kilmeade noted, including figures like California Governor Gavin Newsom and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

Co-host Ainsley Earnhardt highlighted Haley’s appeal among a diverse voter base, including women, independents, and even some Democrats, commending her gubernatorial track record and stance on issues like abortion.

Despite Haley’s impressive lead against Biden in this hypothetical scenario, her path to surpassing Trump in the Republican primary seems daunting.

CNN’s senior data reporter Harry Enten provided a sobering perspective: “There is no precedent for anyone coming back from that large of a deficit nationally right now. You see Nikki Haley … she was 52 points behind in the latest NBC News poll. She’s cut the deficit but she’s still down by 45 points.”

This WSJ poll, with its surprising results, has undoubtedly caused a stir, indicating an intriguing and potentially unpredictable race for the White House in 2024.
