(TheLastPatriotNews.com) – Donald Trump’s presidential campaign has come up with a new solution to fend off scammers and protect his donors – an official “seal of approval” that will be given to committees and candidates supported by the former president.
The Trump campaign’s “seal of approval” was announced in a statement on its official website, cited by Newsmax.
The new campaign emblem is a “gold circular seal” with an outer circle of stars filled with a portrait of President Donald Trump in gold, with the American flag as the background. It bears an inscription reading, “Official Team Trump.”
In its statement, the campaign complained that other candidates and their fundraisers and committees had deceived supporters of the 45th president of the United States.
“Unfortunately, some candidates, PACs, and their fundraising vendors have drained millions of dollars from President Trump’s donors by falsely claiming that they support President Trump, that the President supports them, and that funds received in response to the solicitations will support, help, or defend President Trump,” the campaign declared.
“To fight this scam, President Trump’s endorsement will now include the right to use his name and likeness in fundraising solicitations and other campaign communications, as signified by this seal,” it added.
“The seal will be a powerful signal to President Trump’s loyal donors that the sender is on Team Trump and is not a scammer,” the campaign statement elaborated.
The report points out that in March, the Trump campaign asked Republican digital fundraising vendors to end their usage of Trump’s “name, image and likeness.”
It said they pretended to “support” or “stand with” the leading GOP presidential candidate, thus presenting their fundraising efforts as though the money would go to his campaign.
“[The new official Trump campaign seal is a] revocable, nonexclusive license, and the digital art file containing the seal is nontransferable. Any entity that mimics or unlawfully uses the seal without explicit approval from a representative of President Trump’s campaign may face legal action,” the Trump campaign declared.
The end of its website statement featured an area allowing political action committees and candidates to request the right to use the Trump Team seal.
“Candidates and committees authorized to use the seal shall be permitted, and indeed encouraged, to use the seal in connection with their activities on social media, in paid advertising, and on merchandise,” the campaign explained.
