Tucker Carlson: ‘Fun as Hell’ (Audio)

(TheLastPatriotNews.com) – In bold comments, which also involved attacking the Republican National Committee, former Fox News anchor Tucker Carlson has declared he would love to host a 2024 GOP presidential primary debate, describing such a possibility as being “fun as hell.”

Carlson, who is also a co-founder of The Daily Caller, expressed his enthusiasm at the prospect of moderating a Republican primary debate during a conversation with journalist Alex Lorusso.

Lorusso proposed the idea in a Twitter Space interview on Tuesday, The Caller reports.

When asked about the possibility of taking on the role of a moderator, Carlson responded with evident excitement.

“Oh gosh, of course I would. Of course, I would. Yeah, that sounds fun as hell! I absolutely would. I mean, it would, I think, have to be outside the RNC’s jurisdiction, and that would be good,” he said.

He insisted, however, that such an event should occur independently of the Republican National Committee’s (RNC) influence.

Carlson further attacked the RNC, comparing its relevance to that of the US-led NATO, the 31-country-strong pact, the most powerful military alliance in human history whose existence is constantly bemoaned by Putin’s Russia.

“If anyone present can see a purpose for the RNC to continue to exist, um, just shoot me a text,” he continued.

“The RNC’s like NATO. You know, it has no reason for being. It only consumes resources and says annoying things, and breaks things. But, there’s sort of no reason to have it, you know what I mean?” Carlson asked.

This discussion was sparked by a reference to GOP presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy’s comments during the third Republican presidential debate in November.

Ramaswamy had criticized the RNC and suggested that Carlson, alongside Elon Musk and Joe Rogan, should moderate the event, predicting a significant increase in viewership.

According to Ramaswamy, such a lineup could potentially draw “10 times the viewership” compared to a debate under the RNC’s supervision.

RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel responded to Ramaswamy’s critique and his call for her resignation with indifference.

Appearing on Fox News with host Stuart Varney, she stressed Ramaswamy’s low poll numbers.

“He’s [polling] at four percent, he needs a headline,” she said.
