‘Working Class Americans are…on the Trump Train’ (VIDEO)

(TheLastPatriotNews.com) – In an astonishing admission by a mainstream media journalist about why Joe Biden’s reelection campaign is failing while Donald Trump is on the rise, a Newsweek editor has declared the big reason is that the incumbent president has lost working class Americans because of his policies.

Newsweek Opinion Editor Batya Ungar-Sargon told liberal talk show host Bill Maher that President Joe Biden’s border management has been an act of “class warfare” against the labor force.

When discussing the 100,000 Michigan Democratic primary voters opting for the “uncommitted” choice, Ungar-Sargon highlighted the shift in political allegiance among the working class from the Democratic Party to Donald Trump.

She pointed out that Democrats have been diverting attention to other factors rather than addressing how to regain this demographic’s support.

This sentiment was particularly evident in a Michigan campaign, encouraged by Democratic Rep. Rashida Tlaib’s sister, which prompted voters to select the “uncommitted” option as a critique of Biden’s stance on Israel.

Ungar-Sargon criticized the narrative suggesting Biden’s potential loss in Michigan is tied to his stance on Israel’s defense against the Hamas terror group in the Gaza Strip.

She argued instead that his policies affecting the auto industry, especially those promoting the electric vehicle market, have alienated 600,000 auto workers.

“There’s been this big realignment where working class Americans are very, very, very much on the Trump train. Rather than admit that, this outrage that Democrats lost the working class vote, and try to figure out how we can appeal to them again, they’re looking for excuses and other things to blame,” Ungar-Sargon said.

“The media really, really wants to put this narrative out there that Biden is going to lose Michigan over Gaza when the truth is he’s going to lose Michigan over 600,000 auto workers because his EV market was extremely punishing to auto workers,” she added.

The Newsweek journalist argued Democrats “don’t want to admit that Trump has picked up a lot of the policies that used to be Democratic policies in the 90s,” such as securing the Southern Border.

“[A]n open border and mass migration is extremely punishing to the working class. It drives down their wages. It’s class warfare against the working class. It is an upward transfer of wealth from the working class, who end up competing with immigrants, to the elites who end up employing them, and now they can employ cheap immigrants instead of having to pay working class Americans a living wage,” she explained.
