(TheLastPatriotNews.com) – In an act that would have been hilarious had it not been so pathetic, Hunter Biden portrayed himself and his father as “victims” – claiming he was the victim of “political weaponization” of his past drug addiction, and the president – of “misinformation.”
In an article published by the mainstream media outlet USA Today on Thursday, Hunter Biden declared he had been subjected to the “political weaponization” of his former dependencies.
“I fought to get sober. Political weaponization of my addiction hurts more than me,” reads the article headline.
The first son’s complaint comes as he faces the prospect of legal indictments for questionable financial dealings and other actions. The first son already faces three federal gun charges, and congressional Republicans are investigating the Biden family’s murky foreign business dealings.
“After what I have gone through since my brother [Beau] died in 2015, and the perpetual public humiliation of me, I am now certain I can survive anything (except a drink or a drug),” Hunter, 53, conveyed in his narrative featured.
“The effort of recovery is something that should be celebrated, and I hope that despite my role as the punchline and punching bag for some, others will also make the effort I have made,” he continued, as cited by The New York Post.
In the op-ed, Hunter denounced conservative media outlets, his father’s political adversaries, and the Justice Department for pressing him on possible unlawful actions, including supposed tax evasion, international influence trading, and unauthorized firearm possession.
“My struggles and my mistakes have been fodder for a vile and sustained disinformation campaign against [President Biden], and an all-out annihilation of my reputation through high-pitched but fruitless congressional investigations and, more recently, criminal charges for possessing an unloaded gun for 11 days five years ago – charges that appear to be the first-ever of their kind brought in the history of Delaware,” he stated in his piece.
“My struggles and my mistakes have been fodder for a vile and sustained disinformation campaign against my father, President Joe Biden, and an all-out annihilation of my reputation,” the first son wrote, as cited by Breitbart News.
This editorial was released following the House Oversight Committee’s circulation of a document charging that Joe Biden received $40,000 from China-affiliated CEFC China Energy, funneled through first brother James Biden and his spouse, Sara.
Many detractors have expressed skepticism about the first son’s claims of victimhood.
“The criticism has zero to do with his addiction and everything to do with influence peddling. What a joke…,” commented Fox analyst Joe Concha.
“There are lots of crackheads. Very few that I’m aware of prostitute themselves off their name because it’s the same name as the vice president of the United States,” reacted another individual, Varad Mehta.
