(TheLastPatriotNews.com) – In another disgusting and outrageous anti-Trump outburst from the far-left mainstream media, an MSNBC contributor declared that Donald Trump “must die in prison” for “attempting” a coup on January 6, 2021.
The latest escalation in leftist rhetoric against Donald Trump came from Dean Obeidallah, a SiriusXM radio host and columnist for MSNBC.
In live comments last Friday during his SiriusXM show, Obeidallah insisted that the former president be put behind bars for the rest of his life because that would create an example to protect America’s democracy.
Obeidallah was interviewing a guest on his program, Mediaite reporter Tommy Christopher, who slammed another Republican presidential candidate, Nikki Haley, for “insinuations” about President Joe Biden.
In a Fox News interview in July, Haley suggested that Biden could die in office because of his advanced age, Newsmax reports.
Christopher wondered how Republicans would feel if Trump went to prison based on the four Democrat-led indictments against him and died there.
Obeidallah, however, interjected by declaring that should be the desired outcome because it would serve as a warning to anyone seeking to commit a coup in the United States – including a potential “Democratic demagogue.”
“I think Donald Trump must die in prison because – I don’t care if he was 45 years old. You should get life in prison if you attempt a coup, and there should be no chance of parole. I don’t care who it is,” Obeidallah declared.
The leftist journalist, a Palestinian-American Muslim, made it clear he was eager to see a life sentence for Trump because that would send the message to all that nobody could “chip away” at the “democratic republic” of the United States.
Obeidallah then clarified he wasn’t calling for Trump’s assassination behind bars but was hopeful his sentence would be so long that the 45th president of the United States would just die of natural causes.
Over the weekend, the MSNBC columnist posted on X a Mediaite article on his hopes that the former president would “die in prison.”
Obeidallah has made similar comments before. A month ago, he also said on the MSNBC program “The Reid Out” that Trump had to “die in prison.”
